About

As a full-time, professional editor since 2018, I have worked with authors across multiple genres, from romance to paranormal and urban fantasy, to help polish their stories and bring them to readers.

My love of grammar and the written word started in middle school when my English teacher taught me how to diagram sentences, and I've never looked back. During my undergrad career at Loyola University Chicago, I worked in the writing lab and proofread and edited papers for my peers. After graduation, I pursued a master's degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and became a high school English teacher. After leaving the classroom, I went to work for a large educational publisher where I worked in sales, marketing, content creation, and professional services for the better part of a decade. I also hold a certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago, publishers of The Chicago Manual of Style.

Since leaving the world of corporate publishing and beginning my freelance editing career, I have worked with self-published authors across a spectrum of editing services including developmental work, line and copy editing, proofreading, series bible creation, and audiobook proofing. A comprehensive list of the services I provide can be found here. Also, feel free to take a look at my Portfolio.
